Please Read First......Welcome And Group Information

Welcome to everyone who is joining our group! This is a place for us to share our ideas for saving money and decreasing spending.

I am asking everyone who coupons to share your favorite couponing and money saving websites/blogs. But this group is NOT just about couponing. Yes, you can greatly reduce bills by combining coupons and sales. I know that on average our family spends about 1/3 of what we were once paying for groceries (and that not counting all of the freebies), and we aren't doing that by only buying junk foods and off brands. We buy mostly name brands and organic foods and are still able to save that much. Thank the Lord for others who have "gone before" in this venture. There is a ton of amazing info out there regarding saving with coupons. I'm excited for us to share our knowledge in our group regarding these things.

STAY TUNED....For those who are interested, we will be coming up with some method of sharing our unused coupons with each other. I have sometimes left coupons that I am not going to use on items in the grocery stores to surprise other shoppers! While that can be a great and fun things to do, I would love to be able to share coupons with my church family as well.

Also, if you do coupon, feel free to share any other helpful info as it arises. In our "discussion forum" I plan to link to some great sources that have helped me, including such things as organizing your coupons and other goodies. As we all post these ideas, I will most likely be compiling the information into files that we can all access here within the group. I will be working on figuring out if and how this can be done.

Donating Items: I know that sometimes there are freebies offered on items that you may not use. If you are in a store that is offering such a freebie please consider getting the item to add to our church donation pantry. As you all collect these items we will find a way to get them together and distribute them to church members or local organizations that need them. :)

Now...on to other things. We all know that there are some good deals to be found in our city and surrounding local areas, If you are out shopping and find an amazing deal, please remember your sisters in this net group and share your findings asap. Some of us may be praying to find the deal that you just found, and these are things that may or may not be found on other websites.

And then there's shopping online. WOW! There are some wonderful online deals for items that you may need, if you only know where to look. This is an incredible way to stock up on nice birthday and special occasion gifts. Please share any sweet online deals and/or store coupons that you find with the rest of us, just in case we missed them.

Finally, if there are books or resources that you have found extremely helpful in your quest to save money (even including budgeting, etc), please feel free to share the titles with the group in the Discussion Forum above. If there were only one or two hints in the book that you thought were amazing, we would love to hear about those!

I can't wait to see how the Lord helps us to use our resources together in a wise way that most honors Him!

MyPublisher has their mini books for 75% off through tomorrow. They are originally $2.49, so $0.62 for one isn't bad. It's credit card size and hold 21 pictures. I just ordered a few (okay, 9 is more than a few, lol) and the total including shipping was less that $8! Cute stocking stuffer or just a grandparent gift! Use code OCTOBERSALE at check out.
