The Purpose of Net Mommies
Hi Mommies! You’re all probably wondering what this group is about, so I wanted to take a few moments to explain why I created this group and how you are going to fit in. The main reason comes from a personal need of mine. I want a heart to heart connection with other moms of our church. I need and want advice from moms who have older or grown children. I need and want my son to have “aunts,” “uncles,” “cousins” and “grandparents” from his church family! I need and want empathy from moms who are in the same boat as I…parenting a 3 year old. I also need and want to help those moms who are just starting life as a parent. The thing about it is, I know there are other moms out there who want the same thing. So that’s why Net Mommies exists!
So how are we going to make this connection happen? Well, we will have “playdates,” a time where our kiddos can play together while we moms just connect. And yes, moms and kids of all ages will be invited! We will have mommy’s night out every once in a while, where we moms will just get together and do dinner or something and just catch up without the kiddos around. We will have online devotionals each week that we all can comment on or glean from. I’d like for each mom to contribute to this; each lady taking a week to write something that has spoken to them. This could be a scripture, a passage from a book, or a funny mom story. Just something! And finally, I’d like for us to eventually think about how we can help moms outside of our group and church; to participate in service projects involving helping moms and children in the community.
So there you have it. Net Mommies exposed. I am thoroughly excited about getting started with this group and look forward to spending more time with each of you and reaching out to the moms of our community!

Would anyone be willing to make a meal and drop it off at Kristen and Cory Arp's house next week? She is having a c section tomorrow and hopes to be home later in the week. I was actually going to see if we could do a Mommies night out again on November 20. I was wanting to do it at Amberleigh's house. What do you all think of that? Would that work for anyone else? Or should we just all do it separately? Give me your feedback on that!
