Laura, there's nothin' wrong with a slow, methodical work of God! Glad you and your fam made your way to The Net. You are blessings to us all!
Thanks Ryan! We are so happy to be a part of this Church. We love it!
I was playing Christian for 11 years of my life. I thought i was saved. I was involved in church, the drama team, etc etc. But every time i would rededicate my life it was always the same prayer, " i want to feel your Presence". There was always a part of my that was dead inside. Finally one day Randy Lamb was preaching, great guy, powerful speaker, and the whole time i was angry and nervous. He kept driving nails straight into my heart, in the back of my mind, i was fighting because he was saying i feel there is one in the room that is fighting the spirit. He asked the question "how many of you know you are saved" i hesitated raising my hand. He said if you hesitated chances are you need to reevaluate your situation. At that moment i knew. The irony of the situation, was that the date was April 1st 2007. After that, scripture and praise songs meant so much more than mere words, as for the first time my eyes were truly opened.
Awesome story, Josh. Thanks for posting!!
My story seems a little unremarkable because I accepted Christ at age 5. As a pk (preacher's kid), everytime the door opened we were there on the front row. Because I was very involved in the church I was exposed to the good, bad, and the UGLY. So, as an adult I was turned off from the chuch and questioned God about almost everything. Now, I am learning about Him (and the church) all over again - but in a new way. Still working on it . . .
Chamise,

Appreciate your sharing... we actually talked about PK's in the message today! :)

Sometimes the inside of the church can look pretty ugly! Glad to hear you are finding God afresh!!
I started attending the net last summer. I had seen the signs "if you hate church" last winter when the church started but was attending another church at that time. I was still struggling with the way I had been treated at the previous church I had attended with my ex-wife and family before we were divorced. I could very much identify with the "if you hate church" slogan. I have never given up on the Lord or hated him for the divorce, if anything I've drawn closer. But I've been extremely disenchanted and heartbroken by "church people". My experience at the net has truly been "refreshing". There's alot of other christians like me out there who have been wounded by our fellow christian brothers and sisters. Im very apprecciative of Ryan's trusting me with helping start the singles group, its something I really need and look forward to. Im excited about what God is doing at the net,and is going to continue to do in me.
Thanks for sharing, David. Can't wait to see how God uses you!!
